A Butterfly Themed Baptism Reception

I have to admit, when our clients, Tin and Julius told us we only had an hour to get everything set up, I was a little unsure at first whether we will be able to pull this event off. Because this event was held at a rented hall, the prep time allotted to us was limited and we had to set up 15 tables, 120 chairs, a cake table, and welcome table, and a photo area. I was very relieved when we got everything ready just in time. Thanks Tin and Julius for allowing us to be a part of this special occasion.

Here are the photos from the event:

A Ballerina Baby Shower

We've been busy this past August planning for 2 events. One of them was a Ballerina Baby Shower for a friend's sister-in-law.

I must admit, when my friend approached me with the theme, I knew it was going to be a challenge. Ballerina is not a very common theme and when I think Ballerina, I think elegant, classy, sophisticated, and of course, lots of tulle!

The mom-to-be had no idea that Sarsie's Parties was hired for their event, so they were surprised when they saw the venue on the day of the party. The excited mom-to-be could not thank us enough for the lovely decorations and everyone at the party loved it.

Here are photos from the party:

Eliana's Hello Kitty Birthday Party

When Eliana's parents, Lyn and Resty, contacted us to decorate her 1st birthday, we were excited. Hello Kitty is highly becoming popular again and the timing to use her as a theme was just perfect.

Lyn and Resty were gracious enough to give us free reign to decorate their daughter's party. The only requests they had were that one of the main colors be pink and that they want her pictures displayed. Because this party for for someone turning 1, we've decided to make the decorations very colorful and festive so it catches her attention when she looks at them. The party's colors were Pink, Orange, Green, and Purple and we decided to use balloons as the main medium for decoration.

Here is the welcome sign we personalized for guests to see as they entered the party area.

This is the cake table. Her cake was so huge we had to make adjustments to the design and the cake stand we used.

We've decided to arrange the photos in colorful frames that look like they were flowers in a garden.

The favors were provided by Eliana's parents and the tags were made and provided by Sarsie's Parties.

These are the personalized napkin rings that were a part of the package they chose.

Here is a photo of the party space before we styled it.

Here is the photo after.

Overall, we had an awesome time making the place all pretty for Eliana. The best part was when her parents told us we made their child's party extra special!

'Til the next party!

Luau Baby Shower

Aloha! I was busy this past long weekend decorating and styling a Luau themed baby shower. The main colors we picked were lime green and pink with some hints of purple and yellow. I decided to subtly incorporate the theme to the decorations. Judging from the reactions of the guests, the party turned out well.

As the guests came in, they were greeted by this signage asking them to grab a lei.

To add some fun factor, we created a balloon arch at the entrance.

We hung some draping from the ceiling with some accents that I put together.

I decided to use hot pink pompoms for the centerpieces and made a clothesline with a transparent string to hang some baby garments from. I thought it would be a cool idea to get the guests to decorate the garments and write a little note for the parents to be. Fans were used a favors as well as additional table accents

We kept the cake table simple by hanging white shells and some pink pom poms to a yellow backdrop. We also kept the food table simple and used dried twigs (we found from the couple's backyard). We added silk flower accents and pearls to dress up the twigs a bit.

We also had a photo station set up. Here, me and my very awesome assistant (aka husband) were fooling around with one of the cocktail umbrellas.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this post.

Jianne's Summer Fun Party

Weeks before my sister's 12th birthday, she was already asking my mom for a birthday party. My mom said "No!" Well, five days before the birthday, my mom had a change of heart, and guess who had to organize and plan a party in just five days? Me! Although stressed and tired, I actually had fun getting everything together, and from what my sister told me, her guests had fun too!

Here are some photos from her party:

We were lucky it was a hot day. The guests had fun playing with the contents of their "Splash Kit"---water guns, water balloons, and soak bombs.

I also made a "Photo Booth" area for the guests to take pictures at.

Here's the cake table:

Hope you like it!
